BENNY THE BULL TO ATTEND "TASTE OF DEERFIELD" ON WEDNESDAY!
Saturday, 3:30 – 8:30 p.m. -- Adaptive Sailing and BBQ
The Chicago Park District will be hosting all NJDC participants and their families at beautiful Burnham Harbor in the heart of Chicago, at the Judd Goldman Adaptive Sailing Center (click for map)! Athletes will get the opportunity to try their hand at adaptive sailing and gaze at the beautiful skyline during a fantastic meal on shore. This area provides one of the best views of the city, so bring your cameras!!
Chicago Park District buses will pick up all participants at the Hyatt Hotel. Buses will begin to leave at 2:30 and will continue to transport people to the lake until 4:30 p.m.
Please make sure you have signed your waiver and turned it in so that you can join us!
Monday, 3 :00 – 7:00 p.m. – Chicago Bears Wheelchair Football and Beep Baseball
Calling all Sports Nuts!! Come to Lake Forest High School ready to take on some of the Chicago Bears (Cornerback D.J. Moore and Tackle Chris Williams) in a friendly game of wheelchair football! Follow that up by knocking some balls out of the park when you try your hand at Beep Baseball! After you’ve worked up an appetite, chow down on some scrumptious eats, compliments of Francesca’s Intimo of Lake Forest.
Wednesday, 5 :00 – 7:30 p.m. – Taste of Deerfield / Taste of Chicago
What’s Chicago famous for??? Ok, the Cubs, Bears, and who can forget the Blackhawks! But, we have great food here, too! The Deerfield Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring a fun night of local food and entertainment at Jewett Park in Deerfield (click for map), so be there or be square! Special guests: former Chicago Bulls all time great Bob Love and star Sidney Green, plus Benny the Bull! And Christina Loukas, current member of the United States Olympic Diving Team, who competed in Beijing in 2008 and hopes to make the 2012 team in London.
Friday, 6:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m -- NJDC Idol
Start off the night by stopping by the all you can eat pasta bar at the Hyatt Hotel (make sure you’ve purchased your pasta bar ticket at registration, if you aren’t on the meal plan).
Then, come to the Hospitality Room and show us what you’ve got by belting out your favorite song in our very own karaoke contest. There will be judges and an audience, just like the real thing!

Saturday, 6:00 p.m. - Midnight -- "The Sky Is the Limit" Dinner Banquet and Dance
Come to the Marriott Lincolnshire (click for map), for this NJDC Celebration held in an indoor tented space with surprises for all ages! Featured guest speaker, U.S. Paralympian, John Register!
And starting at 9:00 pm. rock the night away with D.J. Sean Riley, one of Chicago’s finest Firefighters!
